Lucha tackles immigration policy10/18/10 1:04pmJuan GasconWalls usually symbolize division and politics is full of walls, but on Monday, a wall appeared on the steps of Low Library that united the community. Columbia club "Lucha" set up the wall to represent the border conflict between Mexico and the United States, and throughout the day people approached and wrote directly on the wall to express their feelings for current immigration policy. The day was capped with a vigil for those who have lost their lives or been deeply affected by immigration and crossing the border. The Columbia community keeps these tragedies in our hearts. |
