Bacchanal, the annual university-sponsored spring event, has released its schedule of events for 2009. The week of festivities will kick off on Saturday, April 18 with performances from Columbia's own Vampire Weekend and Talib Kweli. The week continues with concerts, comedy shows, and various "free stuff" events around campus. Bacchanal will conclude with a BBQ on Saturday, April 25, followed by "Bagels and Beanbags" on Sunday morning. A highlight of this year's events includes a screening of the film Alice in Wonderland on April 20th from 8-10pm in Low Plaza. The announcement of the "Alice" screening drew much approval and support from students around campus.
