Dean of Student Affairs Kevin Schollenberger announced today in an email that Columbia would be welcoming Daniel T. Barkowitz as Dean of Financial Aid/Associate Dean of Student Affairs, effective June 1, 2009. Dean Barkowitz comes to Columbia with over twenty years of experience in higher education. Dean Barkowitz currently is the Director of Student Financial Aid and Employment for MIT.Schollenbereger pledges that under Barkowitz's leadership, "the Office of Financial Aid and Educational Financing will continue to provide the kind of support Columbia students and their families need while at the same time developing new programs to enhance the services we provide."
